The Lollipop program is an entry level program designed for players that are being introduced to the game of soccer. Lollipop kids play for one hour per week on Saturday’s. This program is run by licensed coaches with some help from volunteers. The players are not on individual teams. There will be a pool of players at the field and we will call them in at the starting time. We will have 5 stations with soccer related activities set up for the kids. We will break them into groups and they will spend about 5 minutes at each station. The coach will blow a whistle for the kids to rotate from station to station. If you come late and the players are already in their stations, look for a coach to assist you or go to the station with the fewest number of kids.
After the players have been to each station we will call them in again and break them into groups for small sided games.
Small Sided Games: Games will be 4v4 or 5v5 with an emphasis on learning the game of soccer and having fun. We are looking for the parents to cheer on the players and refrain from coaching them during this time.
If you want to help run one of the stations please get to the field 15 minutes prior to the starting time. We are always looking for volunteers such as older sibling to assist. Community service hours can be given to high school students that help out.
